Office Hours: TRS is open Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except on state recognized holidays. Limited staff are available during the noon hour. After normal business hours, you may leave a message and we will return your call the next business day.

Public Information Requests

All requests for public information must be submitted to: opir.mt.gov

We are located at 100 N Park Avenue, Suite 110 (first floor) in downtown Helena.

Please call ahead and schedule an appointment to ensure TRS staff members have an opportunity to review account records and prepare for your visit. Appointments are available Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

If you are the member, please include your full name, SSN, home mailing address, and phone number when contacting TRS by regular mail. Be sure to sign and date any forms or written requests for information.

If you are reporting the death of a member, retiree, beneficiary or joint annuitant in writing, please include the decedent's full name and SSN.
