Page last updated 5/16/2019 The Member History menu option provides access to wages and contribution amounts posted to a specific member's TRS account. All history is available, as long as it was submitted electronically under your employer ID. For privacy reasons, you cannot view a member's wages and contributions from another employer.
•Use the Find or Lookup buttons to select an employee, if one is not already selected.
List Member History page By default, this page displays pay periods based on the fiscal year of the most recent posted report. Selection criteria below the member's name allow you to view a different set of pay periods for this employee.
•You may select a prior year in the Year field, if contributions exist for that year, and/or •You may select Calendar Year to view records starting in January of the selected year. Column Headings and Descriptions
Pay Period: The month and year of the report. Reports are listed from newest to oldest. Date Posted: The date on which employee contributions were posted to the employee's TRS member account. Employer: Your employer's six-digit TRS ID number and name. To protect confidentiality of the employee, pay records from other employers are not listed on this page. FTE: A number representing the employee's Full-Time Equivalent status with this employer. The number is shown as a percentage and cannot exceed 1.00 even if the employee works in more than one position. Actual Wages: The actual wages reported for this pay period and employee. Regular Contrib: The amount of regular employer and employee contributions (based on wages) credited to TRS. Buy Back: Any buyback amount paid to TRS for the employee. Term Pay: Any termination pay sent to TRS for the employee. Int Adj: The amount of any interest adjustment for this employee after the employer submitted the payroll report. This adjustment is made by TRS.
The Total Year row displays column totals for the pay periods being viewed. •Click the View
Member History Detail page This page provides a breakdown of the pay record that you selected on the previous page. All information is historical and cannot be edited.
•The Pay Period date, Type code (C = Contribution or A = Adjustment), and Posted indicator are displayed below the TRS member's name for reference. •Member history is displayed only for pay periods in which the contributions have been posted. This means the Posted indicator on this page will always be Yes. Field Names and Descriptions
Employer: Your employer's six-digit TRS ID number and name. Tier: A numeric indicator (1 or 2) showing the TRS membership tier to which this member belongs based on hire date. Action: The action that applied for contributions in this pay period. The field displays Normal when contributions were ongoing. In the pay period in which the employee was added to or terminated from this employer, the field displays the corresponding action. Work Status: The employee's status as Full Time, Part Time, Hourly, TIAA CREF, Working Retiree, or Re-employed Working Retiree.
Position Code: A code indicating the type of contract submitted to TRS annually for a working retiree. This field is blank if the employee has a work status of Full Time, Part Time, Hourly, or TIAA CREF.
Wages & Hours section Actual Wages: The amount of wages reported for this employee in the selected pay period. Service FTE: The employee's Full-Time Equivalent status with this employer for this pay period. The number is shown as a percentage and cannot exceed 1.00 even if the employee works in more than one position. Monthly Hours: The number of monthly work hours reported by the employer for this pay period and employee. This field may be blank unless the employee had a work status such as Hourly that requires hours to be reported.
Employee Contribution section Regular: The amount of employee contributions reported for this pay period and employee. Buy Back: The buyback amount, if any, paid by the employee for this pay period. Term Pay: The amount of termination pay, if any, paid by the employee for this pay period. Term Pay Option: The termination pay option (1 or 2) selected by the employee upon retirement. This field is empty except when term pay exists. Interest Adjustment: The amount of any interest adjustment made by TRS on behalf of the employee. This is not common and may occur, for example, when a PERS (Public Employees Retirement System) member has transferred to TRS.
Employer Contribution section Buy Back: The buyback amount, if any, paid by the employer on behalf of this employee. Term Pay: The amount of termination pay, if any, paid by the employer on behalf of this employee. •Click the Up arrow
